AvantiThe National Association of Retired Police Officers wanted to explore ways of broadening the range of advertisers in their membership magazine without compromising the existing police advertising base.

Square7 came up with an A5 taster booklet bound into the centre pages to introduce ‘grey market’ advertising. After an enthusiastic response from readers, a strategy evolved of selling strong creatives into the main body of the magazine alongside a highly successful insert sales drive.

Initially, NARPO News was relatively unknown to major advertising agencies, but Square7 has established a multi-platform strategy covering telesales, agency presentations and HTML campaigns to build awareness and make it one of the most attractive titles in the market.
